I went back to school at 26 to get my B.A in English at Stanislaus State University . Prior to that I danced at OCE and was a member of the Oregon College of Education dance company for two years. I received my credential from Chapman University and began teaching in Ceres, CA in 1990. I have taught 6th grade, an at risk 7th/8th grade self contained class, continuation high school and English and Health in Marysville, CA. I came to Bear River in 1996 and have taught Dance l & ll, English, Health, Reading, Aerobics and Drama. I have also taught in the Pioneer program.

I believe that traditional education is not going to reach every student and that diversity in the way we teach and the subjects we offer is the key. I believe every student has the potential to be exceptional given the opportunity and the encouragement; just the way they are and because of who they are. With a little attention and care they will grow and become the unique individuals they are meant to be.
