In the World Language department we believe that knowing another language is for much more than just getting into college. Learning another language develops the brain and enriches a person's life. Being able to speak another language opens up a new world and gives one an important skill that will be a benefit in any profession. The one who can communicate with more people is an advantage for any business and more likely to get hired or hold a job.
Currently we offer four courses Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3 & AP Spanish. Our courses are structured to provide strong verbal, listening and written language skills.
Those students who take all four years of Spanish will receive the district's Seal of Bi-literacy which, let's face it, looks great on a transcript for someone trying to enroll in an increasingly competitive college admissions process.
