Mrs. Weir graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Bioresource Sciences and a Minor in Wildlife Management. She attended Stanford University to obtain her CA Teaching Credential and a Master of Arts in Education.
Mrs. Weir began her teaching career at Placer High School and taught there for 4 years before returning to the Bay Area to teach at her alma mater, Castro Valley High School. She taught in Castro Valley for 4 years and then took some time off to be a stay-at-home mom. Mrs. Weir returned to teaching at Bear River 9 years ago.
Mrs. Weir loves teaching science and trys to share that passion within her classroom. She works to create a caring atmosphere in the classroom where students can achieve their very best. Mrs. Weir believes learning is an interactive process; students need to be active participants in learning. She has high expectations and strives to help her students meet and exceed those expectations.
