The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) evaluates the quality and effectiveness of schools, colleges, and universities in the western states. Every public school engages in WASC accreditation on an on-going basis, which involves the writing of a detailed report and action plan and a multiple-day visit of a WASC committee, tasked with evaluating the student learning and implementation of programs and goals on a school's campus. The WASC accreditation process results in an accreditation term of one, two, three, or six years.

Bear River High School currently holds a six-year accreditation
