ABOUT MR. GAMMELGARD

Gammelgard
Mr. Gammelgard grew up in Nevada City, attending Deer Creek, Seven Hills, and then Nevada Union. He moved to Spokane, WA to attend Gonzaga University where he studied mechanical engineering and physics. That’s where Mr. Gammelgard first fell in love with teaching while he assisted with physics labs. Upon graduation, he took one year to work for a small civil engineering firm in Nevada City. Mr. Gammelgard then returned to school in Bozeman, MT where he earned his M.S. in civil engineering from Montana State University. After working as an engineer and earning my professional engineering license, Mr. Gammelgard then returned once again to school, this time at Chico State, to earn his teaching credential. He holds single-subject credentials in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.  In 2010, Mr. Gammelgard and his wife moved to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan where they taught at an international school.  In 2012, Mr. Gammelgard started teaching mathematics at Weimar Hills School, and in 2016, started teaching at Bear River High School. Though physics is his passion, he loves all things mathematics and science!
