Integrated Math 1 is the first course of a three course series which introduces entry level topics in Number & Quantity, Algebra, Functions, Geometry and Statistics & Probability. This one-year long course satisfies the Common Core Standards for Integrated Math 1. It strengthens and builds on the students’ prior knowledge in middle school math. This course focuses on algebraic expressions, linear functions, quadratic functions, some basic exponential functions, exponents, polynomials, solving equations, geometric congruence, proof and construction methods, finding volumes, areas, descriptive statistics, and connecting algebra and geometry through reasoning and proof as well as real life applications. 

Integrated Math 2

Grade Levels: 10-12
Repetitions for Credit: No
Prerequisite: Completion of Integrated Math I with a C or better
Graduation Requirement: Yes - UC/CSU 'C'
 
This course is the second course in a three-course college preparatory sequence. It is a problem-based curriculum focusing on geometry, quadratics, probability, and the extension of prior algebraic concepts with emphasis on collaborative student work and spaced practice.

Foundations in Personal Finance

Prerequisites: Integrated Mathematics I
Graduation Requirement: Yes (3rd Year Math)
 
Foundations in Personal Finance is a course designed to help students understand the impact of individual choices on occupational goals and future earnings potential.  Topics covered will include income, money management, spending and credit, as well as saving and investing.  Students will review basic math skills and their application in a consumer setting.  Students will design personal budgets, simulate use of checking/savings accounts, demonstrate knowledge of finance, debt, and credit management, and evaluate and understand insurance and taxes.  This course will provide a foundational understanding for making informed personal financial decisions.
