Prerequisites: Grade of B or better in Integrated Math III, B or better in Physics.

AP Physics 1 is an algebra-based course that provides an introduction to measurement, motion and kinematics, forces, energy, momentum and inertia, rotational motion, gravitation, and waves and oscillations. Students must have completed Integrated Math II and be concurrently enrolled in Integrated III or higher. Emphasis is on inquiry lab investigations, problem-solving, critical thinking and scientific methodology. Students may earn college credits by taking and passing the College Board Advanced Placement test.
