COURSES
Student leadership class is designed to teach all aspects of leadership. Students will successfully learn communication skills, personal organization, stress management skills, group development, project planning, self-awareness, personal growth, and human relations skills, including diversity awareness, community service, and anti-bullying awareness. Production in this class also includes the implementation of student activities: student recognition programs, dances, election process, assemblies, fund raising, cultural diversity programs, homecoming events, noontime activities, community service and public speaking. Implementation of these activities will provide “credit” towards community service hours and “extra duty” time required for this class. Participation in leadership activities requires significant hours outside of the school day.
Career Choices & the online 10-year plan is an interdisciplinary curriculum that engages students and teachers in an
interactive learning process, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to successfully: examine
their own lives, explore and evaluate a wide range of education and career options, and make reasoned and researched
goals for their future.
